TEMPORARY MEDIA CREDENTIALS:

Media coming to the CAPITOL for the Feb. 28 event must do either of the following:
CHOICE A: Credentialed through BJay Pak's Office
1.  E-mail us at [email protected] and provide the following information:

• Your Name & Contact Information
• Your employer and brief summary of what they are
• What day and time you will be at the State Capitol to cover the event and how long you will be there
• The reason for being at the event
• What you plan to do at the event
• Your photo headshot
  

2.  We will contact Representative BJay Pak on your behalf, to provide a list press/media covering the event.  We will obtain permission from Rep. Pak’s office to vouch for this list so that his legislative aide can attach and e-mail it to J.D. Easley at  [email protected] for approval.
3.  YOU MUST READ AND FOLLOW the House Floor Rules.  (SEE attached PDF File on LEFT labeled “House Floor Rules”).

CHOICE B: Credentialed directly through House Press Office
1. E-mail [email protected] directly and provide the following information:

• Your Name & Contact Information
• Your employer and brief summary of what they are
• What day and time you will be at the State Capitol to cover the event and how long you will be there
• The reason for being at the event
• What you plan to do at the event
• Your photo headshot

2.  YOU MUST READ AND FOLLOW the House Floor Rules.  (SEE attached PDF File on LEFT labeled “House Floor Rules”).

• Members of the Press must take photos along the walls.  Center aisle of the House Floor is OFF LIMITS.
• Please do not block traffic at ALL TIMES wherever you are.
• Do not take photos of a Representative’s desk or the documents on a desk UNLESS you have permission from the Rep. who sits on that desk.
• Please review rules on DRESS CODE.

FULL MEDIA CREDENTIALS

If you are planning to be at the State Capitol more than once to cover an event, you must do the following:

1. Read instructions from this LINK
2. Fill out online media credential form from this LINK
3. E-mail personal headshot to Mr. J.D. Easley at [email protected]
4. YOU MUST READ AND FOLLOW the House Floor Rules.  (SEE attached PDF File on LEFT labeled “House Floor Rules”).

Each individual coming with you will need to follow these instructions depending on whether they are coming to the State Capitol only for this event or coming more than once.  For press releases, we need to give Mr. J.D. Easley advance notice (i.e. submit press release in the morning rather than in the afternoon).  If we send in the afternoon, Mr. Easley may not have time to send out the press release on that day as intended.
